Founder membership is being offered for a limited period only to a limited number of people who join the first Consortium. Founder members will retain their status forever in recognition of their commitment and loyalty. How does a consortium membership work? Consortiums run for a year at a time and members meet on a quarterly basis. Members meet the night before for a social event and then reconvene the following day for the best practice session on a subject that has been agreed by the group. Umbrella training & consulting will facilitate the session which may include a guest speaker on the subject. The starting point for the best practice work are the benchmarks which the group democratically agrees at the start of the year. Once the benchmarks are agreed, these are then measured on a quarterly basis. Each member should provide their information every quarter in order to be included in the comparison graphs. Members know who they are on the graph but everyone else is anonymous. Therefore, members know how they compare to the market, and whether they are strong in that area or if they are weaker. Access to the benchmark reports operate on a “You show me yours” basis i.e. you only get a report if you are willing to share your information anonymously so they are included in the report. All information provided is kept confidential and the process is facilitated by Umbrella training & consulting – an independent management consultants.
